Joseph’s House and Homeless Action Committee update

Joseph’s House provides emergency shelter or support services to an average of 1000 men, women and children yearly. Central to Joseph’s House mission is to provide non-judgmental services to end homelessness. The staff works to build relationships based on each guest’s & tenant’s strengths and capacities. Treating each person with dignity & respect, and promoting self-determination empowers guests and tenants to make healthier choices.
Your donation helps support the core services we provide, including meals and overnight shelter for the homeless.

Join members of Troy Downtown-Area Churches and Joseph’s House & Shelter to provide people nighttime shelter during the cold months.
Organize a “drive” for items we always need. Toiletries, especially toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant are always in demand.
We rely on volunteers to prepare lunch and dinner for approximately 40 people on Saturdays and Sundays.
Hospitality Volunteers spend time with guests and help with chores that keep the shelter running. We need hospitality volunteers weeknight evenings and all day on weekends.
